What kind of water should I use in my Ion Hydrogen Water Bottle?
We recommend filling your Ion Hydrogen Water Bottle with cold or room temperature filtered or unfiltered tap water, reverse osmosis, natural spring, purified or well water. DO NOT pour boiling water into your Ion Hydrogen Water Bottle, as it may damage the proton exchange membrane (PEM). Note that water with low mineral content may produce a less pronounced visible reaction during the hydrogen cycle process.
How should I clean my Ion Hydrogen Water Bottle?
Gently wash the glass portion of your Ion Hydrogen Water Bottle by hand with mild soap and warm water. Do not put it in the dishwasher or use a wire metal brush for cleaning. Wipe the base clean with a damp cloth; do not submerge the base in water.
If you have hard water, you should descale the unit once a month for best results. To descale, pour 1/4 cup of distilled white vinegar over the titanium plates in the center of the base, making sure they are fully covered. Allow the vinegar to sit for at least 12 hours, then rinse well.
Do I need replacement filters for my Ion Hydrogen Water Bottle?
You never need to replace a filter in your Ion Hydrogen Water Bottle. Unlike other, single-use bottles on the market, this Ion Hydrogen Water Bottle is reusable, rechargable and designed to produce hydrogen water for years.
If your Ion Hydrogen Water Bottle stops producing bubbles, simply fill it with warm water and allow the proton exchange membrane located at the base to soak in water for 3 to 4 hours. Run the bottle multiple times during that time. This will help prime the membrane, which may have dried out enough to stop it from working as it should.
