Addressing the FTC Settlement

An inquiry was made by the FTC concerning the marketing of Nopalea by TriVita in 2012. A settlement was entered into by TriVita with the FTC as of July 11, 2014.

The agreement allowed TriVita to continue selling Nopalea, and TriVita would commission a new study to support any marketing of the product claims. The study was completed meeting the FTC standard of a random, double-blind, placebo-controlled study. It was later submitted and published in Dove Press Journal, a peer-reviewed publication. The study results were released in an article, "Clinical Intervention on Aging: Improved Joint Mobility Associated with Reduced Inflammation Related to Consumption of Nopal Cactus Juice." Conclusions of the study were: reduction of c-reactive protein, increased mobility and flexibility in neck and back, less pain and improved quality of life.

Thousands of TriVita customers purchase Nopalea each month to address their anti-inflammatory lifestyle supplementation as a testimony to its efficacy. TriVita has complied with the FTC agreement with no further infractions or inquiries.
