Step Outside—Your Body Was Made for This

Some of the most meaningful moments in my life have happened outdoors with people I love, whether it be at a picnic in the park, a golf outing or an all-out hike into a deep canyon.
I remember one particular occasion, standing with my wife on a ridge in the Driftless hills of southwest Wisconsin early in the morning. Fog rested gently in the valley below while the sun climbed over the horizon, lighting up the colors of fall. The forest was quiet except for birds beginning their day with song.
Moments like that awaken something deep inside us in ways not otherwise possible.
Awareness.
When you step out into God’s creation, you begin to notice things you normally miss. The quiet of the forest. The rhythm of wind moving through the trees. The steady movement of life all around you. In those moments, you realize something wonderful—you seem small in the vastness of creation, yet deeply connected to the One who made it for you.
Psalm 139:14 says, “I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.”
Spending time in nature has a way of reminding us of that truth. Our bodies were designed to move and explore… to climb hills, paddle rivers and share experiences with the people we love.
God’s creation invites us to live fully.
Time spent outdoors invites movement, adventure and wonder. Being out in nature reminds us that our bodies were not designed for sitting in chairs and staring at screens all day. They were designed to breathe deeply, move with strength and experience the beauty of the world around us with others.
We also learn another lesson in nature…
Preparation matters.
Anyone who has hiked a steep trail knows the moment when excitement turns into effort. Your breathing gets heavier... Your legs begin to feel the climb… What began as a peaceful walk suddenly becomes a challenge.
In that moment, your body asks a simple question:
“Do I have the energy, strength and hydration to keep going?”
Just as a hike through the hills requires the right support, life does too.
Three simple foundations can make a powerful difference when getting out there: hydration, circulation and muscle recovery.
Hydration: Water Alone Isn’t Always Enough
Hydration is essential, especially during the summer months when we spend more time outdoors.
But, hydration requires more than just drinking water.
When you sweat, your body loses important minerals called electrolytes. That is why sweat tastes salty. These minerals—such as sodium, potassium, magnesium and chloride—help regulate fluid balance, nerve signals and muscle function throughout the body.
Without adequate electrolytes, your body may struggle to maintain proper hydration.
The result can be headaches or fatigue… muscle cramps and weakness… reduced stamina… and even an unstable heart rate.
This is why replenishing electrolytes is so important when you are active outdoors.
TriVita’s ElectroHydrate drink mix is designed to help support proper hydration by restoring the electrolytes your body needs. TriVita Members often report feeling less cramping, improved endurance and more consistent energy throughout the day.
When your body is properly hydrated, everything works better—from your muscles to your mind, so you can enjoy activities with others.
Strength and Recovery: The Building Blocks of Movement
Outdoor activity places real demands on your muscles.
Whether you are hiking trails, biking paths, swimming or playing with grandchildren, your muscles are constantly working to support movement and balance.
But, there is an important reality that many people don’t realize.
After age 30, adults naturally begin to lose muscle mass.
This process, known as sarcopenia, can reduce strength, endurance, balance and recovery. The encouraging news is that your body can rebuild muscle when it receives the right building blocks.
Those building blocks are essential amino acids (EAAs). There are nine essential amino acids that your body cannot produce on its own. They must come from your nutrition in order to support muscle repair and growth. This is what makes TriVita’s MyoHealth Essential Amino Acid Complex so important.
Developed over more than 30 years of research, and supported by more than 25 human clinical trials, MyoHealth delivers all nine essential amino acids in a precise ratio designed to stimulate muscle protein synthesis.
In fact, research shows that this patented amino acid complex can stimulate muscle building three times more effectively than whey protein alone.
Members often experience improved strength, better recovery after activity, reduced muscle soreness and increased stamina.
MyoHealth fuels strength and recovery, and strength and recovery fuel activity.
Circulation and Energy: Fueling the Adventure
Every step you take outdoors requires oxygen and nutrients to be delivered to working muscles. Your brain also relies on healthy circulation to stay focused and energized during physical activity. At the center of this process lies an important molecule produced naturally by the body…
Nitric oxide.
Nitric oxide helps blood vessels relax and widen, allowing oxygen-rich blood to move more freely throughout the body. TriVita’s Nitric Oxide Plus is formulated with targeted nutrients and plant compounds to support the body’s natural production of nitric oxide.
Nitric Oxide Plus – Key Ingredients and Benefits
-
Concentrated Beetroot Powder
Naturally rich in dietary nitrates that help support nitric oxide production, promoting healthy blood flow, circulation and endurance during physical activity -
L-Arginine
An amino acid the body uses to produce nitric oxide, helping to relax blood vessels and support healthy circulation and cardiovascular function -
L-Citrulline
Supports the body’s natural nitric oxide cycle by increasing arginine levels in the blood, helping sustain circulation, stamina and energy -
Horse Chestnut Extract
Traditionally used to support healthy circulation and vascular integrity, helping to maintain healthy blood flow in veins and capillaries -
Magnesium
Supports muscle relaxation, healthy blood vessel function and energy production, while helping maintain normal muscle and nerve function
Together, these ingredients support circulation, healthy blood flow, oxygen delivery, energy, endurance and cardiovascular function… to help you stay active and perform at your best.
Nitric Oxide Plus fuels circulation, and circulation fuels the adventure.
Getting Out into Nature Reminds Us How to Live
The outdoors has a remarkable way of teaching some of life’s most important lessons.
Hills remind us that growth requires effort.
Rivers remind us that life keeps moving forward.
Mountaintop views remind us that perseverance brings perspective.
But, perhaps the most powerful reminder is this:
We were created with purpose.
When we nourish our bodies well, we give ourselves the opportunity to fully experience the world God created. We can walk further, breathe more deeply and spend more meaningful time with the people we love.
Strength allows us to move.
Hydration keeps our bodies functioning well.
Circulation fuels energy and endurance.
Together, they help us live the life we were designed to live.
This summer, step outside.
Walk trails with the family.
Sit beside the water with a friend.
Watch the sunset with someone you just met.
Let creation renew your awareness of God, your connection with others and the purpose He placed inside you.
Because the truth is simple…
Your body was wonderfully designed to experience the wonder of God’s creation with others.
